6 things you can do in your business while it is quiet
Coronavirus is here to stay for a little while. Why not be Proactive and not reactive. We could get negative and stop working and stop connecting or we could re-evaluate our businesses and figure out what we can do during these quiet times. Lets be Proactive.
What are the things in your business you never have time to do? What systems do you always want to learn but just can’t afford to spend time on them. Are you reaching out? Are you Marketing? Written any good blogs lately?
You might not be able to deliver everything right now but connect with people and talk about what can happen after this is all over. It won’t be forever.
Definition of Proactive
No 1. Call your clients!
While it is quiet it is a great time to check in with your clients. See how they are going. Offer some great services to them. How can you help them right now? Just reconnect and offer some guidance. Do what you do best.
No 2. Reconnect with old Sales contacts.
It’s a great time to do a zoom call or call some of your old contacts that you haven’t spoken to for a while. Reconnect. See how you can help them? Put your business back in their minds. Follow your sales process.
No 3. Catch up on that Admin!
I know, I know! Admin is boring. But has to be done. It’s a great time to set up new systems and processes. Is there something you have been meaning to do for a while in your business but have not had time? You could always ask a virtual assistant to do it for you! Better yet, call me and I might be able to give you some free advice on the phone or on Zoom? Happy to help. Don’t sit there not know how to do something! Contact me.
No 4. Build on your marketing plan.
Where is your marketing for 2020, did you make a plan for the year? Are you behind already? Now is a great time to set up marketing, social media, and events for later in the year. Be ready for when things get busy again.

No 5. Connect online.
Look at where your industry is during these quiet times. Connect with others in your industry. Support each other. Connect with other business owners. Join your local Business chamber. Look for some virtual events or workshops that you could participate in. Join a new facebook group. Connect. Connect. Connect.
Richard Holland at The Sydney Hills Business Chamber will connect you with groups of great business owners to help you out.
No 6. Online learning.
Time to educate yourself more. Get onto YouTube and watch some educational videos and learn about some new software, or other initiatives that could help you in your business. Always wanted to learn a new CRM or accounting system? Now is the time. What other apps can you learn? There is so much out there.
So while this crazy virus changes all we know lets get proactive and not reactive and use this time to help our business and prepare for when we return to all that is ahead of us before we get too busy again.
